Okay, technically, it's "Mordor" that's trending, I think thanks to Owl City, who started with a hashtag rampage of "#OneDoesNot", as in "One does not simply flamenco into Mordor" and "One does not simply go through TSA into Mordor" and "One does not simply blow pretty bubbles into Mordor" etc etc etc. People are taking it and running, er, tweeting.
And now of course everyone's wondering why Mordor is trending, which makes it trend all the more....
GEEKNESS REIGNS!
*gigglefits*
It's a good Wednesday when Tolkien is trending for no other reason than Owl City got geeky.

Date: 2011-07-21 12:12 pm (UTC)You really should follow Owl City (And did you know it's actually just one guy? Adam, um, somebody, can't remember. He creates all the music and does all the vocals by himself.) Interesting guy, very sweet and very witty and obviously a huge LOTR fan. He's one of my favorite tweeples. *g*
FYI, you can go to LJ's FAQs here to see how to insert a photo in comments. I always have to look up the HTML code, so for me it's usually easier just to paste the link itself. But, yeah, sometimes it's nice to put the actual photo in, for full effect. :)
