Well, with animals expecting to be fed, and we go to church, there's really no such thing as a day to sleep in for me, although sometimes I try to sneak an extra hour in on Saturdays. But I've always been a fairly early riser.
Alen usually gets up early - but not as early as you, he gets up about 8 on weekends - so he is the one who feeds our cats on weekends. I do that during the week, before going to work.
This morning was a bit early even for me, because at 6 am I was awakened by my cat Pipsqueak pouncing on my foot and then trying to chew through the blankets to get to my big toe. *sigh*
She's in a snit today because Pepper, our other cat, got to spend the night OUTSIDE and she didn't. Of course, we didn't know that Pepper was outside... I think she must have sneaked down to my parent's apartment and Mom let her out yesterday evening. Usually I look for her at the door and let her back in at bedtime but I didn't think to look because I assumed she was inside, asleep, since storms had moved through earlier. That's what happens when you assume!
So now Pip's making sure I pay for my transgressions (although Pepper is happy as can be because she likes hunting all night). Cats!!
