No matter how UNcanon, I still praise and glorify PJ for adding those Aragorn scenes. And thank you so much for posting them as a group. I'm feeling very blissfully spaced out right now. I've had a wonderful day thanks to all of you!

For what it's worth, I enjoy reading the other reviews for your story on SOA... and one in particular (you know which one) made me roll my eyes. I remember I posted a LOTR story back years ago in which I included fireflies, and I believe someone reviewed it to tell me that fireflies originated over in the New World and so would not have been in Middle-earth. And I should have known that.

I guess I should have been a firefly entomologist! But anyway---some people just slay me.

And ugh, yes... my pet nasty reviewer reared her ugly head again. I'm fully convinced this "TolkienFan" person is also the anonymous reviewer that has plagued me on other stories. This time, though, she didn't bother me so much as she made me laugh at her incredibly wrong take on canon. I was very disgusted, though, that this time she attacked not only me but my two beta's, because it was on that very chapter and the conversation between Beorn and Aragorn that I relied heavily on Liz and Estelcontar's input. So I couldn't simply ignore that review like I normally do.

She really is a piece of work, whoever she is.

And jeez, someone took you to task over fireflies??? I wonder if it was TolkienFan in disguise. LOL

I think your gapfiller is more or less finished... look for it in a day or two. :) I'll post it here with a huge spoiler warning, and then after "Ranger & Eagles" is completed, I'll post it as an "appendix" chapter or a one-shot or something.
