All Hail His Most Magnificently Dishevelled, Tousled and Gallant Embodiment of Quintessential Noble Dauntlessness, The Tired Foster Son of Elrond, Aragorn Arathornsson, Primo Inter Pares.
Glorious Twosday. I have snitched both pictures. *g*
By the way, I wanted to reply to YOUR reply to my latest review of "The Ranger and the Eagles," but I'm honestly not sure if that's possible... I was afraid my reply back through my e-mail would get lost in cyberspace.
I was just going to say how off-the-charts excited I was to hear you say you might write the intimate details of Aragorn's illness at Beorn's for me. Oh my stars, you have NO IDEA how I would lie prostrate on the ground unable to move after reading such a thing. I would sell my soul to read it.
I've been waiting nearly NINE years to read such a scene between Aragorn and Gandalf. Aragorn in misery, vomiting, shivering, feverish, in pain... and Gandalf caring for him and comforting him. Oh yes, there was such lovely h/c in the other chapters of your story, but the vomiting and groaning is what makes it special. :D
I would absolutely adore getting to see Aragorn experience any kind of "nursing" care during his illness---no detail is ever too small. :) And I so love your Aragorn when he's half out of his head with fever. Oh wow, just the thought of it makes me feel giddy.
You are beyond awesome for contemplating it. *fans self*
LOL... I wondered if that reply would send you over the moon. I'll see what I can do--it will be a belated birthday gift, because I know I can't get it done by the 28th. :) And I still don't know if I'll have *quite* the detail you'll want as far as the vomiting bits... that's just getting a little too squicky for me, but I can definitely fill in the blanks on the rest, groaning and all that. *g* And it will also give me a chance to write Grimbeorn, who's really just a background character in Eagles.
But don't sell me your soul! I have one of my own and don't need yours (and that seems like a very Beorn-ish thing to say! LOL)
It does sound like a very Beorn-ish thing to say, lol! All right, I'll try to keep mine---it's an old thing and you wouldn't want it anyway! But oh yes, I am over the moon---you are awesome.
You know, the detail you've supplied with the vomiting bits from this story and your other were quite lovely, I thought! I'd take that in a heartbeat. And shoot, even vague allusion to it with Aragorn being nearly unaware of what is happening would likely kill me dead, if he feels Gandalf wiping his face or hears him saying soothing words. I'm easy to please, never fear.
Gosh, you have given me such a thing to look forward to! Thank you! *bows, at your service*
