He's holding the stall door open for Gandalf as he's about to ride out... and though I'm suffering a sudden attack of movie amnesia, I *think* it's in TTT when Gandalf goes off to get Eomer (I was thinking yesterday it was when Gandalf and Pip ride off for Minas Tirith but I think it's the earlier scene).
I need to refresh myself on the movies but I'm trying not to watch them for a while so they'll be fresh and new again. :)
