LOL she looked like she had it for him in that scene, and if that stew tasted as bad as it was made out to taste, maybe she had it for him in the films. *g*
PJ wouldn't dare to do that. He knows what's good for him. *g*
Aragorn's death in the appendices was so glorious that it never really bothered me. I always felt it like a kind of an apotheosis. I felt sorry for poor Arwen though, who had to learn how to come to terms with her chosen humanity.
But Aragorn does live forever. I firmly choose to believe, that Aragorn and Arwen still dwell in everlasting and well-deserved bliss beyond the Circles of the World! *g*
Ah, but that's a different sort of "live forever". I like the idea of him living forever as King and skipping the sadness of Arwen's losing him (albeit temporarily).
Aragorn and Eowyn really have an interesting relationship, haven't they? :D In the movies, I almost wish Arwen had sailed - Aragorn and Eowyn made such a nice pair! Though I guess Aragorn was lucky Arwen decided to stay, otherwise he might have starved thanks to Eowyn's cooking skills. ;-)
There was some good chemistry between Eowyn and Aragorn, wasn't there? Yep, there was, and a lot more than I've ever felt in the books. The two of them were fun together (though Aragorn probably didn't see it like that any longer once he had tasted Eowyn's cooking :D).
I think there's a whole flock of fans who write fanfic based on Aragorn and Eowyn staying or getting together... haven't read them, but have seen them.
But you know, PJ DID give us that lovely Arwen loophole that had her originally sailing! I've used it before for my own AU purposes, I'm ashamed to say.
I've seen them, too... never have read them, either. I don't read a lot of AU and those are pretty low on the list of the kind I do read. I like Faramir and Eowyn together more. :)
