I'm already behind in any sort of "Daily" when it comes to Boomer posts, but it's the thought, right? XD

Boomer at 14 weeks

The day before yesterday was one of those "aaaauuuughh you are driving me insane!!" days where he refused to poo outside (he came in after 20 minutes of fruitless walking and encouraging and five minutes later I was cleaning poo off the dining room floor), chewed on every bit of furniture he passed, etc etc etc. I was running from pillar to post trying to keep up with his mayhem.

Yesterday, though, he was a dream. Only one inside poo incident and the rest of the day he played sweetly with his toys and only chewed on them instead of furniture. Didn't even bother the cats (too much). I had decided, after Wednesday's fiasco, to switch mental gears and watch him as I used to watch Dink as a toddler: eyes on him at all times, in other words. It was tiring, because it meant I was on my feet nearly all day and only able to sit down on dining room chairs where I had a clear view of 90% of the area of the house where he's confined (in other words, the family room, dining room and kitchen--we bought a puppy kennel fence that can also be stretched out across a large opening and it's been a life saver, because now the living room, hallway and the bedrooms are unaccessable to Mr. Mayhem). I was even able to do a little bit of clicker training with him. He's learning "sit" really well, "come" when he feels like it, and I've started the first stages of clicker-training on loose leash walking, which will go better when I find a healthy treat that I can drop by my foot without it bouncing away (right now, his treats are just pieces of his daily kibble, which he loves).

Who knows what today will bring, but I'm going at it with the same mindset, so fingers crossed.

Some IG photos/video. You may have to actually go to my IG to see the video (yes, he loves to flip his bed over and walk around underneath it XD).

I was so happy I had my phone handy this time! He's done it a few other times but stopped by the time I grabbed the phone!

I'm very curious what he'd do if a REAL roomba scooted through the house!

Oh my goodness, I am dying at that "Roomba" video. :D

But ooh man, there are days when I think that babies and young animals are so cute purely to fuel our will to keep dealing with those Difficult Times. But they surely are cute....

I totally agree... baby/toddler/baby animal cuteness MUST be by design for that very reason. Too cute to kill no matter how much our exhausted brains and bodies demand it! LOL

Puppies are very hard work, one reason I stick to cats! They look cute, though!

Cats are soooo much easier on dogs at nearly every age! But I do love dogs, so here we are. LOL
