I've had no WiFi since storms went through Sunday morning, so I've been limping along using my phone's data connection and trying not to use up the entire month's high speed data in three days. :/  So I've been scarce. Apologies, but they've finally fixed whatever the storm broke and hopefully the rain that's coming Thursday, Friday and Saturday won't break things anew.

It'll be a few days catching up on everything, but hopefully Aragorn will be back Friday or Saturday.

Ah the one from last week. LOL
We'll be sending you more in the days to come.
Where the heck are all the storms coming from? Dunno. We're grateful out here, but we're soaked. LOL
And to make matters crazier, we're hitting the upper 70's lower 80's this week and next and all the trees and grasses are BLOOMING!

Can you spell hay fever anyone? @.@

Yeah, we're supposed to get some heapin' helpings of rain in the next couple of days. Hubby installed a sump pump in the basement that he's been wanting to see that it works, so I'm blaming him! LOL

Given that you were all in horrendous drought not long ago, I'd bet you're happy for the rains now (which I think are el nino or la nina driven, can't ever remember which is 'in charge' right now).

The oak pollen here is HORRIBLE. But then it always is. I wiped down the patio table last night and this morning it's green again. :/

We didn't really have bad-bad storms and there wasn't much lightning at all, but I guess it really only takes one bolt.

And now I'm hearing thunder again. If I lose Internet for another three-four days, I may have to look into upgrading to a data plan that allows you to create a wifi hotspot. That's the only alternative we have out here in the sticks. Well, besides dial up, which is just... no. LOL

They really need to install a super-mega gigantic surge protector, I guess. I have no idea if the small company that is my ISP has the funds to do that, though. They installed a beefed up one a few years ago and up until this spring, we had much better luck with storms. I don't know if it broke and now they're limping along with lesser equipment or what.

Thank you! I had posted about it on tumblr, briefly, so I guess word got around I wasn't actually dead, since no one sent any messages checking on me. LOL

So did I, but that was unlikely to be linked to you being offline :-p

Good to know you have your wifi back - it is very frustrating without it isn't it!

It really is frustrating! It's amazing how much you rely on the Internet for so many things, not just the social networks but looking up a recipe, checking to see if a movie is opening at the local theater or, at least for me, even watching art tutorials or looking up art "how to".

I was at the hair salon this afternoon and my little neighbor, who is at the very least in her upper 70s, was getting her hair done as well and I overheard her telling her stylist how frustrated she was that our Internet was out for four days... so it's not just the young ones by any means who are very well attached to our online conveniences!

Noooo. Internet outage sucks so much. I hope you stay up and running through the rain ahead!

It really DOES suck. *sigh* I heard my little old lady neighbor complaining about it, too. We were all very frustrated, to say the least, but since there's really no other reasonably priced option, we're stuck with the occasional inconvenience, I guess.
