The lighting in the scene where he tries giving the Evenstar back to Arwen makes him look absolutely gorgeous - that's the one thing I love that scene for! :D
It's a visually stunning scene, and had I never heard of the books, there would be absolutely nothing not to love about the whole thing, really. It was well done on every level.
He looks so incredibly sad. *sniff* I'm really glad it's only movie-verse.
I like his tunic. The intervowen gold makes it quite costly, which does a good job at showing his station and the affection the Elves bear for him. I like it even better with the surcoat, though.
He does look absolutely gorgeous and sad in these scenes. The great acting made it much easier for me to accept the I'm mortal, you're elf kind thingy.
I'm with Vilwarien about the tunic and the surcoat.
It does seem to always go back to the fact that Viggo so convinced us that he was everything there could possibly be in Aragorn that it made those deviations into AU palatable.
Finally able to get LJ to co-operate! I must say, I do applaud everyone's efforts to find something good to say about this scene LOL! If it wasn't for the WHAT!!! factor when I first saw it, I doubt I would have minded so much either.
I'm glad LJ is finally behaving for you. And yes, despite everything, there are good parts to the scene... the sheer beauty of it makes it palatable for me, at least.
