Windows ate up 3 hours of my morning with a huge update and now, whether it's related or not to that, I'm having a hard time with the Internet and/or just LJ, having a bunch of "connection time out" things where I lose everything I just wrote. *grumbles*

I'll try to get Aragorn's pic up later today if I get a moment, but in the meantime a bit of a program note: I'm having minor surgery tomorrow (in the plastic surgeon's office, some more reconstruction stuff that's sort of optional and something I've been putting off because I was tired of surgery and needed a break from it) and I'm busy today getting the entire week's laundry, housework and cooking done. Also, Dink is sick with a bad head cold, so I may or may not get back to LJ before tomorrow morning. I'm also not sure if I'll be sore or whatever afterward (procedure is in the afternoon), nor for how long if I will be, so if need be, Aragorn may have to go on holiday for a bit.

Here's hoping your surgery tomorrow will be easy, fast, and as painless as possible. Take it easy today. We'll still be here for an Aragorn picture tomorrow. I hope Dink gets over her cold soon, it's no fun to be sick!

Thank you... I think I'm worrying too much about it and how much or how long it might keep me 'down', but on the other hand, if I go in thinking it's more major than it actually is, I'm ahead of the game. *G*

Dink is sleeping the day away for the most part. Best thing for her to do, though she's stressing out because she has homework to get to. :/

I think we should invent the term "downdates", meaning updates that actually make things worse... they seem to happen more and more frequently. On my Win10 machine it's happened over and over (although I at least stopped that enormously annoying time consuming download issue), and I'm so glad I chose to remain on Win7 for my desktop... for I haven't any issues at all. (Although LJ seems to have downtimes since yesterday, and I'm getting some notifications badly delayed.)

Downdate.... I like that word. *g* The computer finally settled down (or LJ did, or the Internet did, not sure what). And Windows 10 does seem to do whatever it wants whenever it wants. I was highly annoyed when it upgraded my computer to it without asking. :/ But so far it works okay so I can't complain much.

And thank you. I mentioned to engarian that I'm probably worry too much and expecting it to be more major than it will be, but I'd rather be prepared and surprised when it's not than the other way around!

And ugh, my sympathies to Dink...this cold virus seems to be hitting the entire country all at once. I finally went to the doctor for mine today as it's been nearly 2 weeks, and they think it's morphed into a sinus infection :/. BODIES.

Dink is back to school though still under the weather (I'm halfway expecting her to give up at some point and come home early) and now Alan has it.

So, given the uproar, I rescheduled the procedure for two weeks from now. It's just too crazy to mess with it now. :/

Thanks... had to reschedule it for a couple weeks from now. Dink has a upper respiratory 'thing' and now hubby is down with the same. It's just too crazy at the moment to mess with an elective procedure.

Welp, I had to reschedule... hubby came down with Dink's cold. *headdesk* So, stitchery and suchlike in two weeks instead. I don't want to risk getting a cold while also dealing with whatever recovery there is (which really, it's just a minor procedure, nothing much required in the area of bravery and nothing like a lumpectomy that you had or anything like that). :) But thank you for the good vibes... I'll store them up for two weeks hence!

Oh that is JUST what I hate... having to 'redo' my headlists and phone everyone and hope they don't mind and... gaaaahhh.

And on top of this the rest of your family with colds. YOU, of course, won't have it... (except you may well do, but be expected to carry on regardless!)
