This and that and photos...

I've had a couple requests for a synopsis after I go see Captain America: Civil War Sunday, so I'm thinking about creating a custom filter for that, just to ensure only those who want to read it do and no one else is accidentally spoiled (even though I'd put it under a cut). If you want to be included in that filter, let me know so I can add you.
Now for pics!
The peony is starting to bloom...

Pip could care less...

The trees are fully leafed out now...

And then there was this little lady, which story turns out rather sad...

When I took the photo, she was on part of the driveway that's rarely driven on except by Dink, but the next day I found her dead on the opposite side of the drive. No one had taken Dink's car out, so she hadn't been accidentally run over. I couldn't see any evidence of trauma, but I confess I didn't exactly look closely. :P (I'll go back and look after... nature has finished doing what nature does in these instances.) She may have sustained an injury to her plastron (the lower part of her shell) from a predator bite, or maybe, I don't know, she was sick?? I don't know enough about turtles to know what can cause early deaths (she was probably around 10-15 years old, young for a box turtle). I was glad that I did at least get a nice photo of her before whatever befell her happened. (And I realize that I called her a "him" on IG... didn't realize the eyes were brown instead of red. Perils of posting from a small phone screen.)
Let me know in the comments if you want in on the Captain America list.
