I usually miss The Professor's birthday - too busy with other things. Yesterday, I actually remembered, although I raised my toast a bit earlier since I go to bed at 9:00 pm (that's what happens when one awakens at 3:15 am).

Yesterday was the conclusion of our annual Feast of Junk Food and LoTR Marathon -- sadly, this year was the first in which we were not able to complete it on New Year's Day, as I was unwell and DS had work the next morning.
