Wait... what?

My friends' page now looks to be in my own journal style instead of the other. Hmm. I actually kinda liked it the other way because I had a very nice background made up of one of Viggo's photographs. But I also like my own style, so... whatever, I guess?
Betting this is is just a temporary glitch.

Date: 2014-06-17 05:22 pm (UTC)Based on the feedback we've received regarding the redesigned version of the site, we've decided
to keep the option to continue using the old friends page! As of this release, you can still view your friends page by using the same URL you always have (http://exampleusername.livejournal.com/friends), and can also use the new version using the new URL format (http://exampleusername.livejournal.com/feed).
Please be aware that if you previously opted in to using the new friends feed style, you will still be redirected unless you:
1) Switch to using the site's old design.
2) Go to your friends feed, and click the link at the top of the page to use the old version of the friends page.
3) Return to using the redesigned version of LiveJournal.
4) Visiting your /friends page will no longer redirect to the /feed URL.
We are aware that this is not ideal behavior and it will change in the near future.
We also want to let you know that this is not a comprehensive list of all the changes we're planning to make to the redesigned site scheme. We're still working on making many additional changes including customization options for the friends feed, color changes, resolving font issues, and menu options.

Date: 2014-06-17 05:29 pm (UTC)Where did you get this info? I checked the LJ Maintenance site and didn't see anything, so obviously I'm not following the right LJ news feed.

Date: 2014-06-17 08:43 pm (UTC)It's very nice to know they listened to the feedback. (I got tickled at the overall buzz of"Who are you and what have you done with Livejournal?" on that post. It does seem... completely contrary to their old way of operating. I'll wait and see if this is really a true sea change before shouting "huzzah" just yet.)
