:o) One thing I really loved about the movies is how natural they made the elven ears look and feel. To me, it looks as if ears like these are completely natural.
Thank goodness they didn't make them overly large... I've never imagined Tolkien's Elves having the very large and exaggerated pointed ears that elves in other fantasies seem to have.
So YES to that! I've seen some elven ears in fanart that give me the creeps. I'm always thinking apart from the look, which I find mostly absurd to hilarious, just think of the practical reasons! How would you be able to wear any hood with ears like these, or not get them always injured, frozen, hurt them sleeping and so on...
*ggg* Or lean on your lover's ear when he/she is laying down... And now I want to know why elves do have pointed ears at all. I'm not even sure right now if this is mentioned by Tolkien, or not.
