LOL... I wish I had a snappy comeback but I'm probably one of the 12 people on the planet (or at least on LJ) who've never seen a single ep of Buffy.

I'm so clueless I didn't realize there were spinoffs!

I just never have been into vampire stuff, whether it's about killing Evol Vampires or falling in love with Sparkly Ones. Closest I've ever come to watching vampire movies was "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein", which remains one of my favorite comedies. *g* Oh, and I watched a few eps of Moonlight or whatever it was called, just for the Alex O'Laughlin eye candy bits.

I think Viggo's *might* be set to play Dracula in some new rehash... not sure I'd watch it even with him as one. I don't know what's become of that movie, anyway. Been almost a year since the "he was offered the part" news broke and I haven't heard if he actually took it or if the film ever got a green light.

ahh the joys of working the night shift. You see adverts on TV for shows at night which you never see. LOL I saw all the adverts but wouldn't waste a VCR tape on them.

Only vampire I ever liked was Stoker's Dracula. The book thank you. :)

*heh* As I'm one of the probably less than twelve people on LJ who are indifferent to Dr.Who and heartily dislike Sherlock Holmes (in all incarnations - books and film, not just the current tv series), I do understand;-)

I've tried to watch Dr. Who and just... couldn't quite get into it. I kept finding myself completely bored. Except for Star Trek, I really don't get into sci-fi much.

Sherlock Holmes I kind of like, though I've never actually read the books, so it could be the versions I like are far afield from the original! I enjoyed the RDJ movies and there's a show on here in the US based loosely on Holmes--a modern-day re-interpretation called "Elementary". Watson's a woman, which caused book purists to wail and rend their garments as badly as the Tolkien purists over the movies, but it's a really well-written, well-acted show. But until I read the books, the jury is still out on how I feel about the original Sherlock Holmes. I've got them on my Kindle... just need to find time to read them (meaning, I have to run out of all the fantasy novels and thrillers piled up in the queue first!)

I do like sci-fi usually, and I can't quite get into Who either (and I've made attemptes off and on since the mid-eighties).

For Sherlock Holmes, I think it's the character of Sherlock Holmes that's stopping me from liking it (although detectives of any kind aren't my main genre, but I do watch/read them on occasion). Something about the man being a bit of a sociopath, I suspect. I'm not entirely sure I agree completely with Mark Twain here, "The test of any good fiction is that you should care something for the characters; the good to succeed, the bad to fail. The trouble with most fiction is that you want them all to land in hell, together, as quickly as possible", but it goes some way into explaining my relation to Sherlock Holmes - the stories completely fail to move/involve me. Ah, well...

I know!! I always have the feeling that in that moment, Aragorn is preparing himself for parenthood and picking up after his kids. Although he'll probably have people for that...

and I'm another one of the 12! I guess there must be more

So we're up to 14 at least! LOL

Or at the very least whoso puts it back after the son of the Steward dropped it on the floor gets to be King.

(And thus we finally learn the *real* reason they reforged it and let Aragorn have it to wave around and play hero. Forget all the heir of Elendil stuff...)

It's either "be king" or moan and complain about "kids not picking up after themselves when when play with their toys". LOL

Boromir: I am not a child!

Aragorn: Says the man who is 40.

Boromir: And?

Aragorn: *smirks* Pushing 90.

Boromir: *!!!!!*

Arwen (sweeping in with long hair flying) Approaching 4000 myself. We'll need more birthday candles.

Boromir quietly surrenders.

Aragorn sweeps Arwen up and gives her a long kiss.

Elrond clears his throat and everyone suddenly has someplace else to be.

LOL

We have 15! *g* It's a TV show from the 1990s, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". All I know about it is that she slays vampires and is apparently fairly proficient at it, which is a good thing if you're going to set out to do that sort of stuff!

The show has legions of ardent fans, so I keep thinking maybe one day I'll at least give it a look, but with so many other shows and movies vying for my time, it keeps getting put off.
