Ahhh *sighs* a man and his horse.
Brego was soooo smart. Is it any wonder that Viggo bought him from his trainer?
Am I the only one who, when meeting a horse, goes up and smooshes the chin, kisses the nose and the wise forehead? Prolly. I stole my mum's horse's heart that way. LOL

LOL... I'm quite sure you're not the only person that does that when meeting a horse. I probably would, too, if I were around horses enough to be that comfortable with them.

We swop chats by snuffling, hosses and me. With underchin tickles.

Brego has such a mild eye one CAN fall beneath his feet with safety. That is some solid tack he's wearing! Real heavyweight stuff.

"Yes Brego; I do know about stallions and mares, and no, I do not want Eowyn in my herd."

"No, not even a little."

I love the way Eowyn is nonchalantly trying not to look like a stalker while stalking our Ranger. :)

Oh, I love Aragorn/Viggo with a horse. The parts about Brego's training on the extra DVD, and everything else about Viggo and the horses really touched me, and I love the way his way with horses is visible. I'm not much of a horse person, though I'm comfortable enough around them and can ride a bit. I've always loved talking to them or just standing there and looking at each other.

I'm about the same level of "horse person" as you are. I grew up in a city and didn't have any rural relatives with horses, so my exposure to riding was pretty limited, alas.

I had always wanted to learn it - teenage girl's dream, I suppose. ;o) My parents couldn't afford it when I was at the age, but later my youngest sister (12 years my junior) got a half-pony and became very proficient herself. I took riding lessons at her stable during my second uni year when I was living at home, but couldn't continue later on as I moved to the city, and have never had a real opportunity since. I really enjoyed it while it lasted and am glad that I am at least able to ride as much, and to have been able to connect to a horse. "My" horse was a huge newly-fixed (proper term?) gelding, but he had no riders apart from the stable owner and myself at the time, and we became fast friends. I often visited him and cared for him when fetching or bringing my sister.
