Surely this can't be a Monday!

You guys!! I'm having the nicest day!

It's 70F outside, all the windows in the house are thrown open, my mom isn't in any immediate crisis, and I've been writing... yes, you heard right... writing nearly all day! I've written nearly 2500 words in a birthday fic for lilybaggins.  And yes, it's Aragorn h/c! *dies*  After a couple abortive attempts at writing over the weekend that went exactly nowhere, I came up with a fresh idea in the night last night, and it's flowing nicely.  Lily, you won't get it in time for your birthday, because as is usually the case with me, it's turning into a longer tale than I expected. And I'll need it beta'd. But it's not a novel by any means, so you'll get it sooner rather than later, I hope.

Gosh, it feels so dang good to be writing something new!

I didn't think you'd mind a longer tale. *g* I just wish the muses had cooperated over the weekend, but at least they woke up! I haven't written much Aragorn lately, so this has been very fun. It's not with Gilraen, though. I tried but, eh... I can't get a handle on her, probably because, eek, there's a very big part of me that simply doesn't like her that well. That whole losing-hope thing in the end just kills me for what it must have felt like to Aragorn. *sigh* I mean, jeez, talk about giving your son a no-confidence vote. "Sorry, Aragorn... I can't see you succeeding so I'm just going to go quietly die..." *facepalm* I know I should be more understanding and sympathetic and all that, but... but...

*sigh*

There will come a day when I try my hand at writing Gilraen... but it is not this day.
