The eyes of a ranger have seen life and death; they have seen the sun rise in a cold winter morning bringing frozen sunshine to the bitter north; they have seen that same sun sink into the mystical west with all hope and prayers carried along on its waning light. The eyes of a ranger have seen the birth of sad starving babies, and fat and happy ones; they have seen half-mad wizards, crazy hobbits and equally insane men; and elves. The eyes of a ranger have seen mysteries and mathoms, men hunting orcs in the vast craggy mountains and women dancing the summer ring with ribbons in their hair. The eyes of a ranger have seen past and present; but they dream of the future.
Well, oopse. hahaha I only typed as fast as I could from all the mental pictures that mysterious ranger was sending me. I think I missed half of them. :(
And I have to ask...are you going to a midnight showing of the Hobbit? Got a group of a friends together from church who are going with us tonight. I'm REALLY wishing one of them was you!
Cami's even figured out some hobbity outfits for the two of us, and we're curling our hair. *bounces* :DDD
Alas, no, I'm not going to the midnight showing... it's a school night for Hannah and, well, to be honest, I don't know if I could physically stay awake even for a Tolkien film at that time of night! I would say it's because I'm old, but even when I was young, I couldn't do that--by midnight, I turn into a pumpkin, what can I say. We'll be watching it Sunday morning; our church offers Saturday night services, so for big movie premieres, that's what we do to avoid the crush.
But I think I would, despite my lack of night owlishness, absolutely have a blast going with you guys! Take photos!
Hee. I totally know where you're coming from. I tend to be a night owl, but, even so, I'm more of a homebody night own. Also, with my gum surgery taking longer than I expected to stop being a throbbing annoyance, I'm getting cranky and hurty by around five o' clock lately.
But, I will buck up for the sake of watching Tolkien. And probably take a nap after dinner. ^^ We'll definitely have to take pictures - despite being last minute, I do think the costumes turned out nicely (vests, scarves, layered skirts, capes... \o/).
Looking forward to squeeing with you over it. I'm SO excited to see Martin Freeman as Bilbo. :D
Yep, I'm definitely a homebody when on the rare nights I do a night owl thing.

Owie! I guess that means no popcorn. *sad face* I hope they stop hurting soon.
