The trip was good--daughter's taekwondo tournament in Kansas. It was unexpected because of some health issues with my mom that I didn't think would allow me to go (she's been in the hospital since Wednesday). But she was stable, and Dad was able to get to the hospital himself to visit her, so they both basically threw a hissy fit and told me to go. So I did.
