Thank you honey! That's lavender right? My mom gave me a new bush of lavender for a birthday present and it smells oh so wonderful! We had a lovely day and no worries, our date format is different. Sometimes I make those mistakes as well and suddenly my birthday is in June :)

I'm so glad you had a good day! And I can't use date format for an excuse... I simply, er, "misremembered". LOL

As for the flower, it's not lavender... *lunges for native wildflower book*... it's actually a prairie wildflower called Sampson's snakeroot. I took this photo during a trip to one of our state parks that preserves what's left of the great prairies that used to cover the Plains and our area as well. Bit of trivia about it: settlers would use it to make a bitter tonic they took for everything from diarrhea to fatigue! I bet kids hated it. *g*
