Summary: Even Strider has an awkward moment now and then.
Strider started, surprised at everyone’s smiles as he entered the inn. Were they finally warming to him? He smiled back, but heat rushed to his face when he realized that they weren’t looking at him. He turned and saw behind him Crispin the Bard, a Prancing Pony regular. Blushing, he nodded to him then hurriedly sat. No one paid him any mind, and though it stung a little, at least he could recover from his gaff unnoticed. Valar, there’s nothing worse than thinking you were being hailed as a friend only to find out they were waving at someone else.
