Pity I don't have a giraffe icon...
Apr. 15th, 2017 07:47 am... so Jarvis chasing a wild flamingo will have to do for this post.
If you hadn't already heard of this, there's a giraffe cam at an adventure park/zoo trained on a giraffe named April who's been pregnant. This morning I woke up to see she's in active labor and two little feet are sticking out!
If you care to watch:
The vet/zookeeper (not sure which he is, maybe both) also is doing occasional livestreaming on FB with his own phone, giving better angles and close-ups. He's not doing any at the moment because he said this could be hours yet and his battery will die, so he'll only be popping up when things advance to the next stages (whatever those might be... I know very, very little about giraffe births other than, like most mammals, the front legs and head come out first in a normal birth, and it's a very long drop for giraffes!).
I... may not get much done today. *goes back to staring*
SPOILERS: We haz baby!!

It's so CUTE!
