Day 4
Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before or introduce yourself to someone you've interacted with and friend/follow them. Afterwards, leave a comment in this post with the equivalent of "I did it!"
It doesn't have to be anything complex - it can be feedback for a fanwork or discussing something you might have in common or even simply admiring their icon. The point is to reach out to someone you normally wouldn't and connect with them, even if it's only for the briefest moment.
I haven't had time to do this one yet... the weather, the weekend and the Internet have conspired against me. I'll get to it eventually, though, because I do need to stretch out and be a little more bold in making friends online. As much as I chatter away here on my LJ, you'd think I was a real extrovert, but it takes a ton of mental energy to work up the courage to friend someone before they friend me. I tell myself that they won't bite nor see me as a nuisance, like a gnat that won't quit flying in their face, but... yeah. It's a toughie for me.
Day 5
In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
I'm like a lot of people and not really comfortable leaving out anyone in order to single out any one person. So instead I'll just express my deep admiration for those folks who run archives in order for us to share our stories with like-minded readers. My hat is off to all of them--yes, even the much-maligned folks at ff.net!
