Hee, I actually thought it was Arwen who sent healing thoughts to Aragorn in his sleep but I guess that was just in the movies! But I love the idea of him sending himself to a healing sleep as well :)
Perhaps that dream was a result of Arwen's "watching him from afar". *g* (And that's in the books, not just the movies... so that scene in TTT was a nice illustration of that little nugget of book canon.)
Dunland is quite different from Dunedain then?
Yes, very different. The Dunlendings were allies of Saruman in the Ring War. They were blood enemies of the Rohirrim who lived on the other side of the mountains from Fangorn, north of the Gap of Rohan, and near enough to cause trouble to Rohan throughout the ages. They were descended from men who were swayed by Morgoth way back in the First Age. So not nice folks, the Wild Men, and Aragorn would be definitely be irked at anyone thinking he was one of them!
