This and that and photos...
I've had a couple requests for a synopsis after I go see Captain America: Civil War Sunday, so I'm thinking about creating a custom filter for that, just to ensure only those who want to read it do and no one else is accidentally spoiled (even though I'd put it under a cut). If you want to be included in that filter, let me know so I can add you.
Now for pics!
The peony is starting to bloom...

Pip could care less...

The trees are fully leafed out now...

And then there was this little lady, which story turns out rather sad...

When I took the photo, she was on part of the driveway that's rarely driven on except by Dink, but the next day I found her dead on the opposite side of the drive. No one had taken Dink's car out, so she hadn't been accidentally run over. I couldn't see any evidence of trauma, but I confess I didn't exactly look closely. :P (I'll go back and look after... nature has finished doing what nature does in these instances.) She may have sustained an injury to her plastron (the lower part of her shell) from a predator bite, or maybe, I don't know, she was sick?? I don't know enough about turtles to know what can cause early deaths (she was probably around 10-15 years old, young for a box turtle). I was glad that I did at least get a nice photo of her before whatever befell her happened. (And I realize that I called her a "him" on IG... didn't realize the eyes were brown instead of red. Perils of posting from a small phone screen.)
Let me know in the comments if you want in on the Captain America list.

Since I'm seeing the movie the same day you are, you can go ahead and include me in the filter. Though, unlike you, I've been trying to catch all the spoilers - I do not want any bad surprises!

I'm sort of middle of the road when it comes to spoilers... if I do see a spoiler, it doesn't enrage me, but at the same time, I don't want to know too many details. I've only seen random screen caps at this point... some are heartrending but I don't have much context yet, which is fine.

I'm not a Marvel fan, alas.

She's just so impossibly photogenic sometimes!

And please include me in the filter:-)

So sad that the poor turtle died! We get a lot of turtle deaths this time of year, especially with the painted turtles and snappers looking for softer sandy spots beside roads. But usually it's much more, er, obvious when a car mishap's the cause of death. A predator out for an snack's certainly a likely possibility, though.
(And you know I want to be in on the CA:CW stuff!)

That poor turtle... I felt so sorry for it. And wondered if I missed something when I saw it the day before (but I don't think I did... it seemed fine, even looking at the photo).
And I've already got you on the list!

I'm not really into Captain America - so don't really need to be on the filter.

And poor little turtle! Such pretty markings and now,... :( I love nature but sometimes I wish She could make the animals immortal or impervious to stupid stuff.
As for your filter:
Does this answer your question?
LOL

And hmm....I'm assuming this means you want *on* the list. *g*

And aaw, poor turtle! out of curiousity, how can you tell how old she was?

Turtle age = counting the rings on one of the little shell sections, just like tree rings. :)

*whispers:* Do the thing.

But yeah, it's nice to see it together too, so...

Oh dear, don't know if you SHOULD see it in the morning./. I DON'T KNOW what those postcredit bits meant!
I'll say yeah or nay asap... depending on the amount of sobbing or hooraying I shall be doing cos I MUST see it twice - (for translation purposes any of you lot who want to know why... Tis difficult in FRENCH just once!)

From what I've heard so far, most people are seeing it/planning to see it *multiple* times. I know that's my plan!

Please do include me in the filter! Looks like I'll be too busy to see the movie right away, and I'm desperate for spoilers so I can know the level of soul-crushing sadness to expect. :'(

I'll add you! (And re: soul crushing and this movie, feel free to read the email I sent your sis w/r/t some encouraging things to take away from certain interviews I've seen lately....)
