The challenges of cat photography, for the_winterwitch!

[livejournal.com profile] the_winterwitch, your comment about getting mostly blurry pics of your kitty made me giggle as Pepper went on a walk with Domino and I this morning. For every shot like this:

Pepper, who's nowhere near as mysterious as she looks. #cats #mysteriouseyes

I took about a dozen like these:

*grins* I know that problem very well.

The bane of people owned by pets. And toddlers.

LOL. Yes - a cat that's awake is extremely hard to capture. I have a lot of my cat sleeping, though. :D

Can't imagine the challenges of being a nature photographer (I did watch a series a while back, done by a Nat Geo photographer - and, man, these are extremely patient and meticulous people!). :P

I have SO MANY pics of the cats sleeping. It's ridiculous. But the only easy shots. And they're so cute when they're sleeping.

I would love to do more nature photography but, yeah, I'm not patient enough!

Same here. :) I have to make multiple attempts too. :)

Thank goodness for digital photography!

Hahaha, perfekt! And the good shot is absolutely awesome! ♥

Edit: a challenge I haven't mastered yet, too, is that of the cool feline yawn. Even after over ten years with at least two cats at a time I never had the camera ready. ;o)
Did you manage?

hee, thank you! She finally looked up at just the right moment. :)

I caught Pip a couple times, one of which was this one, which always gives me a giggle:

Love this one!

I managed to get this once. She looked like she was mid-roar instead of mid-yawn lol.

And YES to what you say about digital photography. Imagine the rolls of films that we have to use if we were to take these pics the old school way!

*dies of envy over the pwetty floorpuuursons*

Catching anything live, let alone a cat, is a miracle in itself. Motion capture anyone? LOL

I've same problem LOL. Your cat is lovely.
