It's such a quick shot of him clutching his arm and hunched like that--as if he started to give in to his injuries then realized what effect that might have on Theoden's company's spirits, so he hid it away. I'm happy whoever created these screenshots managed to nab it. :)
You know, though, he kind of is supporting an injured shoulder--keeping the arm from swinging, plus taking a little weight off the shoulder joint, by keeping it all immobile. Maybe the "river bottom rash" on his right shoulder looks worse than whatever might be wrong with the arm/shoulder he's supporting.
Obviously, someone needs to write more fic about this. Someone besides me, that is.
