It's been a lovely fall day today. I took a walk with the camera and came upon some pretty little wildflowers. I hope that everyone's had a lovely weekend. :)
It's a type of aster called white heath aster or frost aster, much smaller than daisies. This is almost a macro close-up so it's hard to tell, but the blooms are only about a half-inch (a little over a centimeter) across.
Our fall is settling in very nicely, which is surprising given how awful the summer was for heat and drought. We started to get rain again just in time to save the fall colors, if not the last cutting of hay. If the warm weather holds for a couple more weeks, farmers *might* eke out a cutting. Remains to be seen. The ponds are still low, but the water table has come up so the wells aren't at as much risk. So, yes... not a bad autumn here.
Thank you! I do enjoy photo-editing, though I also like the idea of taking them "as is" and showing the moment as I saw it through the lens. But editing is a great way to salvage bad photos. *g*
I do like asters a lot, especially the purple ones that grow wild here in the autumn.
