Okay, I've blathered on enough about trying to sketch out a scene from Jee oto ta Huttuk kaga's excellent "
Simple Conversation"... here it is, in its mostly-finished glory:

I say "mostly" because I might go back and darken the hair some more and touch up the handrwritten part, but I, er, have a little too much caffeine in me at the moment and my hands are a little trembly.
(Note to self: do not drink a Coke with lunch when you plan on sketching afterward...) (edit: aaaaand... I just realized it's "Simple Conversation", singular. *facepalm* I'll fix that too and eventually repost. Jeez.)
This, in addition to being a more realistic sketch vs the cartoons in
this post, is also the first time I've tried sketching anything metallic (and still feeling a little Clint-Barton-can't-figure-out-how-to-tie-sweat-pants-strings "aww, arms"). I... kinda love how the metal sheen turned out, no lie. And I do love his expression, even if, *squints*, it really doesn't look much like Sebby or the comic book version of Bucky. Oh well. It's Cairi's vision of Bucky, I guess. For some reason I always have to draw his hair with that one little bit sticking out on the top. :D
Still working on the peeking-through-the-trash-cans one. The above illustration is sort of the step between cartoons and the realism of that one.
(ps - I *hated* drawing the scars where his skin meets metal. *sob*)
